Nous désignons par «canalisations intérieures en faible pente» celles dont la pente ne dépasse 0,20 (20 centimètres par mètre) qu'en certains points singuliers. On pourrait dire aussi justement «canalisations intérieures d'allure horizontale». Parmi elles, on distingue : A. Les branchements d'évacuation des appareils. B. Les collecteurs. Assurant l'une ou l'autre des fonctions suivantes : a) rassembler et rejeter dans les canalisations verticales les évacuations d'appareils installés dans un même étage; ce sont les collecteurs d'appareils; b) recueillir les effluents des descentes et des chutes à leurs pieds pour les diriger vers le branchement d'égout ou vers l'extérieur du bâtiment; ce sont les collecteurs généraux.
