Our research centre allows OLBI and the University of Ottawa to assert their roles as catalysts for the growth of bilingualism in Canada. Specifically, the CCERBAL strives to be a national and international hub for the study and design of public policy on bilingualism and linguistic duality. The Centre, which gathers internationally recognized researchers focused on OLBI's specialty areas, is establishing itself as a prime consultant for those dealing with issues related to language planning and social cohesion. Notre centre de recherche en bilinguisme et aménagement linguistique permet à l'ILOB, et à l'Université d'Ottawa, d'être des catalyseurs dans l'évolution du bilinguisme au Canada. Le CCERBAL se veut un pôle national et international pour la recherche et l'élaboration de politiques publiques en matière de bilinguisme et de dualité linguistique. Le CCERBAL regroupe des chercheurs de haut niveau et d'envergure internationale qui œuvrent dans les domaines de spécialisation de l'ILOB. Il est en voie de devenir le centre consultatif par excellence sur les questions d'aménagement linguistique et de cohésion sociale.
