The Centre for the Prevention of Radicalization Leading to Violence (CPRLV), which was created in March 2015 by the City of Montréal with the support of the Québec government, and the active involvement of community and institutional partners, is a pioneer in Canada and North America. It is the first independent non-profit organization aimed at preventing violent radicalization and providing support to individuals affected by the phenomenon, be they individuals who are radicalized or undergoing radicalization, family or friends of such individuals, teachers, professionals or field workers. Créé en mars 2015 par la Ville de Montréal avec l'appui du gouvernement du Québec et avec la mobilisation de ses partenaires des milieux communautaires et institutionnels, le Centre de prévention de la radicalisation menant à la violence (CPRMV) est un pionnier en la matière au Canada et en Amérique du Nord. Il est le premier organisme indépendant à but non lucratif ayant comme objectif la prévention des phénomènes de radicalisation menant à la violence, ainsi que l'accompagnement des personnes touchées par cette réalité : individus radicalisés ou en voie de l'être, proches, enseignants et enseignantes, membres du secteur professionnel, intervenants et intervenantes du milieu.
