The CAHR (Centre for Aboriginal Health Research) is a joint initiative of the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs, the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Manitoba, and the Foundations for Health. The CAHR was established through a generous contribution from the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs to the Fundraising campaign of the Foundations for Health for the construction of the Buhler Centre for Health Research. The CAHR will initiate, coordinate and support research activities designed to assist First Nations and Aboriginal communities and organizations in their efforts to promote healing, wellness and improved health services in their communities.
