Nineteen ninety-nine marked one very important change to the way the Department of Canadian Heritage is organized. We said goodbye to Parks Canada as a part of the Department, and welcomed Parks Canada to the Canadian Heritage portfolio as an agency. This new structure allows Parks Canada more flexibility to work with Canadians and do a better job meeting its number one priority - ensuring the ecological and commemorative integrity of nationally significant examples of Canada's natural and cultural heritage, for the benefit of present and future generations of Canadians. 1, record 1, English, - Changing%20for%20a%20Changing%20World

L'année 1999 a été l'occasion d'une profonde réorganisation du ministère du Patrimoine canadien. Ainsi, Parcs Canada, qui faisait partie du Ministère, est devenu un organisme du portefeuille.
