The Community Futures Program (CFP) supports Community Economic Development (CED) and builds the self-reliance and capacity of communities to realize their full sustainable potential. The objectives of the CFP in support of this mandate include fostering economic stability, growth and job creation; helping to create diversified and competitive local rural economies; and helping to build economically sustainable communities. The CFP is delivered through four Regional Development Agencies in their respective regions. Le Programme de développement des collectivités (PDC) soutient le développement économique des collectivités (DEC) et renforce l'auto développement ainsi que la capacité des collectivités à atteindre leur plein potentiel durable. Les objectifs du PDC, pour remplir ce mandat, sont les suivants : favoriser la stabilité et la croissance économiques et la création d'emplois; aider à créer des économies rurales diversifiées et concurrentielles dans la région; soutenir la création de collectivités économiquement viables. Le PDC est administré par les quatre organismes de développement régional dans leur région respective.
