Subdivision de l'unité d'aménagement dans le domaine de la pessière à mousses créée pour gérer la répartition des agglomérations de coupes et la présence des massifs forestiers.

OBS

Dans cette subdivision, la structure d'âge de la forêt doit être relativement homogène. Dans l’unité d’aménagement, les compartiments d’organisation spatiale sont regroupés en unité territoriale d’analyse. La superficie d'un compartiment d'organisation spatiale varie de 30 à 150 km² et peut atteindre 250 km² dans le contexte des plans d’aménagement de l’habitat du caribou forestier. Il existe trois types de compartiments d’organisation spatiale (COS) : le COS standard, le massif de forêts pérennes aménagé et l’aire protégée dans laquelle aucune récolte n’est permise.
