Figure 25.11 shows a typical condenser used in most CANDU turbine units. The condenser cooling water (CCW) system supplies cooling water to the condenser. The water enters through the inlet water-box, passes through the condenser tubes and discharges to the lake through the outlet water-box. The turbine exhaust steam enters the condenser through the condenser exhaust trunk and reaches the outside surface of the condenser tubes.

La figure 25.11 montre le condenseur type raccordé à la plupart des turbines CANDU. Il est alimenté par le circuit d'eau de refroidissement du condenseur. D'une part, l'eau pénètre par la chambre d'admission, traverse les tubes du condenseur, puis retourne au lac par la chambre de sortie. D'autre part, la vapeur s'écoule par la conduite d'extraction de la turbine, pénètre dans le condenseur et entre en contact avec la surface externe des tubes du condenseur.
