The Conference of European Churches (CEC) is a fellowship of 126 Orthodox, Protestant, Anglican and Old Catholic Churches along with 43 associated organisations from all countries on the European continent. CEC was founded in 1959. Christians from different confessions are committed to live and witness together in a spirit of ecumenism, sharing, understanding and mutual respect. Together, the churches work to promote the unity of the church and to present a common Christian witness to the people and institutions of Europe.

La Conférence des Églises Européennes est une communion fraternelle de 126 Églises de tradition orthodoxe, protestante et vieille-catholique, plus 43 organisations associées de tous les pays du continent européen. La CEC a été fondée en 1959. Ainsi, des chrétiens de différentes confessions se sont engagés à vivre et à témoigner ensemble dans un esprit d'œcuménisme, de partage, d'entente et de respect mutuel, par de là les divisions historiques, les différences linguistiques, les barrières géographiques et économiques que marque le continent européen.
