CONTRACTUALISM [1 record]

Record 1 1999-10-17

English

Subject field(s)
  • Philosophy (General)
CONT

The contractualism is not a descriptive theory but a normative one, i.e. it has its focus beyond the description of existing institutions, it tries to discover norms for the accurate acting of society. The contractualism is therefore not descriptive, as it does develop an argument for the justification of the existence of political power as it tries to confine the borders for the exercice of power.

CONT
