TOGA/COARE (Tropical Ocean Global Atmospheres/Coupled Ocean - Atmosphere Response Experiment) is a international research program that studies the interaction or coupling of the ocean and atmosphere in the western Pacific warm pool region. From November 1992 to February 1993 field experiments were made involving the deployment of oceanographic ships, moorings, drifters, and Doppler radars (ship, land, air).
