DLMCs are typically a component of the Elemental Commanders TDL [tactical data link] Operational Authority and executes elemental TDL oversight on their behalf. The Data Link Management Cell will draft higher level policy and directives applicable to the conduct of TDL within their space and provide instructions to their respective Interface Control Cells and elemental platforms. Additionally the DLMC will work with the Elemental Technical Authority to influence the advancement of environmental TDL capabilities.

Les Cellules de gestion des liaisons de données sont généralement une composante de l’autorité opérationnelle des LDT [liaison de données tactiques] des commandants des éléments et effectuent la surveillance des LDT des éléments en leur nom.
