Dust-Separating Fans. A fan may be so constructed as to combine the functions of an exhauster and a centrifugal separator. All fans of this nature concentrate the solids on a portion of the blade surface by inertia or centrifugal force and discharge the solids and air into separate casings or into compartments of the same casing.
