Nous avons ici tous les éléments d'un système de régulation à «boucle fermée». La grandeur à régler est la température de la chambre, le poêle le système à régler, la mèche l'organe de réglage. La personne dans la chambre joue le rôle de détecteur et de régulateur [...] elle remplit la fonction de base du régulateur-détecteur qui est d'évaluer la grandeur à contrôler, de la comparer à un point de consigne (ici, la sensation de confort de la personne) et d'ajuster l'organe de réglage.
