... the 1986 meeting of the agriculture ministers confirmed the effort to eliminate barriers in a national strategy for agriculture. The ministers established a Federal-Provincial Agricultural Trade Policy Committee (FPATPC) which developed an inventory of interprovincial trade barriers. FPATPC also drew attention to the categories of technical and non-technical barriers to trade, and to differences in the requirements for their removal.
