Le fibrage est l'opération par laquelle la préforme est transformée en fibre. Le fibrage consiste à chauffer la préforme à une température telle qu'elle puisse être étirée. Il y a donc, à la fois chauffage et action mécanique, la fibre est ensuite enroulée sur un tambour.
