Ce système appelé FAST (pour «Future Automated Screening of Travelers») pourrait réduire en moyenne de 40 minutes à 40 secondes l'attente aux douanes (pour les passagers n'ayant rien à déclarer). FAST est un système qui est capable de faire une lecture de la configuration de la main humaine. Cette information est comparée avec les renseignements enregistrés dans une carte conservée par le voyageur. Si les deux types de données concordent, une barrière s'ouvre automatiquement, libérant le passage au voyageur.
