CONT

Design of Geosynthetic-Reinforced Unpaved Roads.... The use of geotextiles in unpaved roads is one of the most widely accepted geotextile applications, and geogrids are increasingly used in this application. Geotextiles and geogrids placed between a soft subgrade soil and an aggregate base layer improve the performance of the unpaved road essentially by performing two functions: separation and reinforcement.

OBS

Geosynthetics: The generic classification of all synthetic materials used in geotechnical engineering applications; it includes geotextiles, geocells, geogrids, geomembranes, and geocomposites.

OBS
