The proposal applies to grape brandy (other than neutral brandy, pomace brandy, marc brandy, or grappa brandy) distilled from the fermented juice, mash, or wine of grapes, or the residue thereof. Grape brandy stored in oak containers for any amount of time less than 2 years must still be designated as üimmatureü.

L'entreprise familiale, en 1990, a décidé pour renouer avec la tradition de faire revivre cette saveur d'autrefois en remettant en fonction un vieil appareillage monté de quatre magnifiques vases en cuivre pour produire une eau-de-vie de marc à l'ancienne, en distillant les marcs frais de la vendange par vapeur directe. Cette production contribue à affirmer l'image de la distillerie puisque cette eau-de-vie de marc de qualité, reconnue et commercialisée dans de nombreuses régions, a été récompensée plusieurs fois.
