Sacrificio humanitario. Hay un interés internacional en que se usen métodos humanitarios para el sacrificio de los animales. Estos métodos deben siempre provocar la muerte instantánea del cerebro o una inmediata pérdida del conocimiento [...] sin dar motivo al sufrimiento. Existen métodos químicos y mecánicos, pero el uso de drogas mortales no es común porque es costoso y puede hacer la carne no apropiada para el consumo humano.
