OBS

ICCE is one of the commissions of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS). The field of interest of ICCE may be broadly defined as including the erosion, transport and deposition of sediment and the interaction of these processes with other components of the environment and with water resource development. The Commission is principally concerned with promoting improved understanding of erosion and sedimentation processes, primarily as they relate to hydrology and fluvial geomorphology, and including both mechanical and chemical denudation. It also aims to promote the study of global patterns of erosion and sediment yield and their controls and the impact of human activity on erosion and sedimentation and to encourage the development and application of new methods for investigating erosion and sediment delivery, including the use of environmental radionuclides as sediment tracers, and the implementation of novel modelling techniques.
