DEF

One who specializes in interior design.

CONT

Clear and attractive graphics are frequently a vital part of nonresidential interiors such as airports, hospitals, and schools. The interior designer is concerned with all aspects of how a space looks and functions. He may also choose to design particular components of the interior himself, such as furniture or graphics or he may choose readily available items from a wide variety of manufacturers' and designers' ranges.

OBS

space cadet: Architects' slang for interiors specialists.

OBS

Interior decoration is an important part of interior design, and the terms are sometimes used interchangeably, though strictly the designer is concerned with larger concepts and the overall organization of space; the decorator works to select the best fabrics, furniture, colours, and accessory furnishing to enhance the entire interior space.

  • Architecture d'intérieurs (Généralités)
DEF
