Investment Partnerships Canada was established in 1996 as part of the federal investment strategy designed to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to Canada, particularly from Multinational Enterprises (MNEs). Investment Partnerships Canada (IPC) works to coordinate the federal government's investment strategy, also working closely with the provinces, territories and major municipalities. In creating an investment partnership between Industry Canada and Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT), IPC is unique in the government in that it reports equally to two Deputy Ministers (DMs) and two Ministers from two different departments. 3, record 1, English, - Investment%20Partnerships%20Canada
