(prononcer diou suédois) sols aquatiques à horizon humifère : dans les eaux acides se dépose un complexe rappelant un humus brut et biologiquement très peu actif; il a été dénommé dy... par les auteurs suédois et limnic peat par les auteurs anglo-saxons. La structure du dy est fragmentaire, floconneuse, parfois fibreuse; c'est un dépôt très riche en eau (90%).
