Low-emissivity glass (or low-e glass ... ) is a type of energy-efficient glass designed to prevent heat escaping through your windows to the cold outdoors.

All clear glass used is low energy glass. This means that more heat comes in through the glass than goes out. The inner layer of glass is treated with a special coating that reflects heat back into the room.

El vidrio de baja emisividad (o low-e) es un vidrio doble térmicamente reforzado al que se le añade una fina capa transparente en una de sus láminas, de tal manera que —además de las funciones del doble vidrio— impide que la energía (sea frío o calor) generada en el interior se "escape" al exterior, consiguiendo un ahorro económico en la factura de la electricidad.
