An antibiotic substance isolated from cultures of Streptomyces noursei.

... nystatin ... does not penetrate the outer surface of the meats treated, that is, is present only on the surface of the meats. Such inability to penetrate facilitates the inactivation of the antifungal agent during the cooking process.

OBS

"Nystatin" is used in the treatment of all forms of moniliasis.
