The gas produced as a byproduct of pyrolysis of solids in which the major objective is usually to produce fuel oil, oil, and char.

Off-gas treatment. The off-gas module treats all gases given off during the production of Synroe. These consist primarily of the gases evolved from the rotary calciner but also vent gases from their sections of the plant.
