During 1997, Chicken Farmers of Canada (CFC)'s On-Farm Food Safety Committee developed a Code of Good Production Practices and a generic HACCP-based model for the production of chickens. Both include record-keeping systems to keep track of problems arising and enable participants to further their expertise.

En 1997, le Comité de la salubrité des aliments à la ferme des Producteurs de poulet du Canada (PPC) a élaboré un Code des bonnes méthodes de production et un modèle générique de la salubrité des aliments à la ferme pour la production de poulets vivants basé sur le HACCP. Les deux sont assortis de systèmes d'information, les producteurs y consignant les problèmes éprouvés dans le but d'en tirer ultimement des leçons.
