OBS

The objectives of the Association are to promote cooperation and communication in science and technology among the communities of the Pacific region, to review common scientific concerns and priorities in the Pacific Basin and to provide a multidisciplinary forum for discussion of these concerns and through Congresses and Inter-Congresses and other scientific meetings; to stimulate study of scientific problems of the Pacific region directly affecting the prosperity and welfare of its people; and to strengthen the bonds among Pacific peoples by promoting a feeling of cooperation among the scientists of all the Pacific countries. Founded in 1920.
