Dans certaines méthodes le relevé consécutif de chaque doigt est complété par l'impression simultanée des quatre doigts de la main. Les tracés obtenus, moins complets, ne sont pas supérieurs aux précédents, mais ils permettent de contrôler si chaque empreinte roulée figure bien dans sa case convenable, et s'il n'y a aucune confusion entre la main droite et la gauche.
