The Police Reporting and Occurrence System (PROS) is the replacement solution for the RCMP's aging occurrence and records management system. With a single point of data entry for storing and accessing complete police occurrence information, PROS will make it easier to document, manage, access and exchange information on case files. Capable of adapting to future technologies, it will also be able to meet evolving policing needs. PROS is designed to improve information sharing and system integration among criminal justice community partners. Le Système d'incidents et de rapports de police (SIRP) remplacera le système vieillissant qui sert actuellement à la gestion des dossiers de la GRC sur les incidents. Guichet unique pour la saisie, le stockage et la consultation de données complètes sur les incidents, le SIRP facilitera la documentation, la gestion, la consultation et l'échange des renseignements contenus dans les dossiers de police. Grâce à sa capacité d'adaptation aux nouvelles technologies, il permettra également de suivre l'évolution des besoins des services de police. Le SIRP est un élément clé de l'Initiative d'intégration de l'information de la justice (IIIJ), qui vise à améliorer l'échange de renseignements et l'intégration des systèmes entre les partenaires de la justice pénale.
