PRODEX. The ESA Scientific Experiment Development Programme (PRODEX) began in June 1986 and is open to Member States and European Cooperating States. PRODEX comes from the French PROgramme de Développement d'EXpériences Scientifiques. Its main objectives are to: improve relations between scientific and industrial circles within participating states, provide funding for the industrial development of scientific instruments or experiments proposed by institutes or universities.

Le programme PRODEX (Programme de Développement d'Expériences Scientifiques) de l'Agence Spatiale Européenne (ESA) est un programme optionnel de l'ESA auquel la Belgique participe. Ce programme a été mis en place en 1986 pour les pays européens associés à l'ESA, qui ne possèdent pas d'agence spatiale nationale; son objectif est de permettre le financement de projets de recherche scientifiques spatiaux en collaboration avec l'ESA, dans le cadre du programme scientifique de l'agence ou pouvant bénéficier d'opportunités de vol offertes par l'Agence spatiale européenne.
