Les flocs : Un floc se définit par la nature de la fibre textile utilisée ( coton, rayonne, polyamide, acrylique, polyester.). Selon la qualité et le rendu désirés, on mélangera des fibres de différentes matières textiles ou on ne retiendra qu'une seule variété avant la préparation par broyage ou coupage. On obtient alors des flocs de 0,1 à 10 mm dans des titres de 0,5 à 44 décitex.
