The reverse shoulder block is a block where the offensive man fakes the one-on-one block by driving his head pass his opponent on the side away from the hole.

OBS

This block is used on the line of scrimmage against defensive linemen who are reacting to the head of the offensive man on the straight shoulder block.

Ce bloc s'emploie pour prévenir la pénétration du joueur défensif. Pour une ouverture pratiquée à droite, le joueur contacte avec son épaule gauche tout en logeant le côté gauche de sa tête sur la poitrine du joueur défensif. De plus, il vise les hanches et utilise ses bras de la même manière que lors d'un bloc de l'épaule. Dans le cas d'une ouverture à gauche, le joueur effectue exactement l'inverse de cette tactique.
