Les zones conchylicoles font partie des zones désignées pour la protection des espèces importantes du point de vue économique. [...] Ces zones correspondent à des portions de littoral, de lacs et d'étangs où s'exercent des productions conchylicoles. La production conchylicole compte les activités professionnelles de pêche et/ou d'élevage de coquillages juvéniles ou adultes ayant pour but la préparation, la vente et la mise sur le marché pour la consommation humaine.
