La dieta blanda se prescribe a menudo en pacientes convalecientes que tengan problemas estomacales y también se da en el tratamiento de la ulcera péptica, la colitis ulcerosa, las enfermedades de la vesícula biliar, la diverticulitis y diverticulosis, las gastritis, la colitis mucosa, el estreñimiento idiopático espástico y después de una cirugía cuando tolera líquidos.
