Trois fois par année, on fait la récolte du benthos dans cinq rivières. Chaque rivière comporte deux stations de cueillette localisées dans des habitats à tacons, soit des zones de gravier parsemées de galets (...) On utilise trois techniques de prélèvement : la récolte manuelle le long d'un transect (ligne droite) où on retourne les galets pour ramasser les organismes qui y sont fixés; la récolte avec une passoire de cuisine et l'échantillonnage par filet Surber.
