Une nanolithographie en surface suivie d'une attaque chimique permet de dégager dans la masse de ces matériaux en couche des boîtes quantiques de même structure stratifiée que le matériau de départ. La seule différence réside ici dans les dimensions de ces boîtes, inférieures à 100 nm. L'intérêt de cet usinage est de dégager l'accès latéral de cette structure stratifiée, afin de pouvoir éventuellement y placer une troisième électrode, et ainsi réaliser une triode de 100 nm de largeur.

OBS

Une nanolithographie en surface permet le dessin de nanostructures telles que des fils quantiques, des boîtes quantiques structurées et des interféromètres électroniques.
