Directional control is the guidance mode used during missile boost engine operation. It is a gyroscope-controlled method of keeping the missile on its aimed course. During this phase, the missile attitude is maintained by a thrust vector control (TVC) system, which consists of four simple on-off valves spaced at 90 degree intervals around the nozzle of the booster thrust chamber.

Le contrôle de direction est le mode de guidage utilisé pendant le fonctionnement du moteur de démarrage du missile.
