Public Health Agency of Canada. The goals of the Transfusion Transmitted Injuries (TTI) Section of the Health Care Acquired Infections Division (HCAID) are to establish a national surveillance system for Transfusion Transmitted Injuries (i.e. infectious diseases and noninfectious adverse events) and to support targeted research in order to provide information for risk assessment to further reduce the risks associated with blood transfusion in Canada.

La Section des incidents transfusionnels (IT) de la Division des infections acquises en milieu de soins de santé (DIAMSS) a pour but d'établir un système national de surveillance des incidents néfastes liés à des transfusions (c.-à-d. les cas de transmission d'agents infectieux et les incidents non liés à des agents infectieux) et d'appuyer la réalisation de recherches ciblées de manière à ce que l'on dispose des données nécessaires à l'évaluation des risques, données qui permettront de réduire encore davantage les risques associés aux transfusions sanguines au Canada.
