A water pasteurisation indicator (WAPI) is a simple thermometer that indicates when water has reached pasteurisation temperature and is safe to drink. It consists of a small polycarbonate tube that contains a soybean wax that melts when water or milk is heated enough to be pasteurised (65 ˚C/149 ˚F). 3, record 1, English, - water%20pasteurization%20indicator

Un [indicateur de pasteurisation de l'eau (WAPI)] est simplement un petit tube en polycarbonate qui contient une cire spéciale. Une rondelle ou un poids en métal sur le petit appareil maintient le WAPI immergé lorsqu'il est placé dans une casserole d'eau qui est chauffée. Lorsque l'eau atteint le point de pasteurisation, la cire en haut du tube fond et se déplace vers le bas du tube.
