WICK ROCK [1 record]

Record 1 2005-01-06

English

Subject field(s)
  • Curling
DEF

For a delivered rock, to miss its mark and unintentionally touch another rock in front of the house.

OBS

The rock sometimes caroms off the hit rock and starts gliding in another direction. Distinguish from "to chip" or "rub," the action of a delivered rock that grazes on another as it passes by.

OBS

Most sources consider "chip," "rub" and "wick" as synonyms, using one or the other in expressions of which these terms are elements.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Curling
DEF
