Plasmasphère (Plasmasphere). Région de la magnétosphère qui est entraînée par la rotation de la planète sur elle même. On dit que le plasma y est en co-rotation. C'est une région surtout étendue aux basses latitudes. Dans le cas de la Terre, la plasmasphère n'est pas très étendue. Plasmasphère (plasmasphere) : cette région est une région de plasma froid (énergie des particules inférieure à 1 eV).
