En effet le mode de prise de vue par balayage mécanique (scanning) perpendiculairement à la trace du satellite peut induire des déformations particulières dont les corrections sont plus complexes. [...] Les niveaux 3 et 4 incluent : des corrections des variations de vitesse du miroir (polynôme de degré 5) à l'aller et au retour des différentes lignes de balayage; la correction de la rotation de la Terre; la correction des effets panoramiques et de courbure de la Terre.
