DEF

Beds containing calcium phosphate which are formed especially in areas of low rainfall, and which may be exploited as sources of phosphate.

CONT

The mineralogy of phosphate deposits is usually complex, as they consist of a fine-grained mixture of various calcium phosphates, of which hydroxyl-apatite, carbonate-apatite, fluor-apatite, and solid solutions of these end-members are perhaps the most important.

CONT
