The National Joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Response Team (JCBRNRT) is comprised of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Explosives Disposal and Technology Section (RCMP EDTS), the RCMP "A" Division Forensic Identification Section (FIS), the Canadian Forces Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Response Team (CF NCBRT) and the Emergency Response Assistance Plan Team [ERAPT] from Health Canada (HC). They cooperatively train and respond to terrorist or criminal use of devices which are believed to contain hazardous chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear substances.

L'Équipe mixte d'intervention en cas d'urgence chimique, biologique, radiologique et nucléaire (EMICBRN) rassemble la Section de l'enlèvement et de la technologie des explosifs (SETE) de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada (GRC), la Section de l'identité judiciaire à la Division «A» de la GRC (SIJ), l'Équipe d'intervention en cas d'urgence nucléaire, biologique et chimique des Forces canadiennes (ENBC-FC) et l'Équipe du plan d'aide en cas d'urgence de Santé Canada (EPACU-SC). Les membres s'entraînent ensemble et interviennent pour contrer l'utilisation terroriste ou criminelle de dispositifs soupçonnés de contenir des produits chimiques, biologiques, radiologiques ou nucléaires dangereux.
