Las tintas ferrogálicas son soluciones acuosas formadas a partir de sales de hierro (Fe) y ácido gálico o tánico (que aportan taninos), formando un complejo orgánico metálico de color oscuro, aglutinado, por lo general, con alguna goma natural.
