ESCALADE SOLO INTEGRAL [1 record]

Record 1 2012-01-20

English

Subject field(s)
  • Mountain Sports
DEF

A climb on a difficult route, alone and without a rope.

CONT

By definition, you are free soloing any time you climb without a rope, regardless of the difficulty. The common usage, however, refers to a climber who is scaling a fifth class climb where a rope and equipment are usually employed. Yet the free soloer has neither.

CONT

The ultimate in rock climbing, however, is free-solo climbing, which does away with the ropes, the hardware and the partner.

Domaine(s)
  • Sports de montagne
DEF
