Ratio of gross domestic product to energy use.

The Office of Energy Efficiency Index depicts annual changes in energy efficiency in the Canadian economy and estimates these changes better than the indicator previously used - the ratio of gross domestic product to energy use commonly referred to as "energy intensity".

Quotient of the radiant power emitted by a source, or by an element of source, in an infinitesimal cone with its axis in the specific direction, by the solid angle of that cone.

Radiant intensity is a quantitative expression of the brilliance of a source of electromagnetic (EM) energy over the entire electromagnetic spectrum. This quantity is measured in terms of the power emitted per unit solid angle from an isotropic radiator, a theoretical point source that radiates equally in all directions in three-dimensional space.

The standard unit of radiant intensity is the watt per steradian (W/sr or W ? sr-1).

OBS

radiant intensity is a term of radiometry. Luminous intensity (cd) is the photometric equivalent of radiant intensity.

Energy intensity ... for automobiles it is energy use per car. A measure of the efficiency with which energy is used in the economy as a whole is total end use energy per unit of GNP. In the industrial and commercial sectors and in transportation other than automobiles, energy intensity is defined as the amount of energy per unit of production.
