Tritium-Activated Safety Signs. ... The light-emitting part of each sign consists of glass tubes, internally coated with a phosphor material, which contain up to 925 GBq (25 curies) of tritium gas per sign. These tubes are enclosed in a sturdy metal and plastic frame which is mounted using tamper-resistant hardware.
